We are currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will be responsible for proactive and strategic finance and accounting leadership. This position will report to the President and will be responsible for all corporate accounting functions. This individual will be a hands-on financial manager with a strong accounting background.

Job Responsibilities • Report directly to the President, and work with the Managing Directors and the board of directors on all strategic matters as they relate to all financial activities • Advise on the financial implications of strategic management decisions and establishing the financial soundness of proposed acquisitions and divestment of assets or businesses, and proposed joint ventures and partnerships • Monitor & control the banking activities of the organization • Oversee the monthly and daily cash management for the company • Ensure appropriate training and development is offered to finance and accounting staff to raise their understanding of financial management • Ensure suitable computerized and non- computerized systems, processes and protocols are in place in relation to all facets of the company's financial management • Negotiate warehouse lines of credit and working lines of credit with banks • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process, including journal entries and all supporting analyses to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of internal financial reporting to management • Direct and coordinate accounting operations including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Revenue Recognition and Cash Flow Management • Oversee financial forecasting, monthly financial statement reporting and variance analyses • Manage the preparation of all general ledger account reconciliations, including daily cash account reconciliations • Manage the preparation of financial packages for warehouse lenders • Manage accounting policies, procedures, processes and business systems to ensure high quality and efficient accounting and reporting • Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls to insure the integrity of the accounting records and resulting financial statements and make recommendations and changes as needed • Work closely with outside auditors to establish a partnership that ensures Company is fully compliant with all requirements • Monitor outside events regarding accounting, reporting and compliance matters and evaluate their impact on the Company; make recommendations regarding the findings to the Director of Finance and Accounting; research and implement new accounting pronouncements as applicable • Ensure the timely completion of financial and tax audits • Assist with various compliance filings and informational reporting requirements • Act as a key representative of the Finance team in cross-functional groups and projects • Produce ad hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred • Five years of experience as a Director of Finance, CFO, or equivalent in a Mortgage Bank or Banking environment • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies • Deep knowledge and understanding of accounting regulations • Experience in raising capital • Understanding of hedge accounting practices • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages; knowledge of Quickbooks required • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to attract, develop, retain and promote high performance teams required • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills • Proven ability to work collaboratively and excel in a small company, and entrepreneurial environment • Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting • Excellent communication skills • Strong customer service skills • Ability to use deductive reasoning • Experienced leadership with a proven ability to manage in a rapidly growing, dynamic and changing environment
