Our client, a busy mid-size commercial furniture and space planning design firm in San Francisco, has an immediate full-time opening for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Billing person.

Basic Function: Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Billing and Collections management to ensure integrity of the General Ledger and to maintain current receivables status for all customer accounts. Monitor payment of delinquent accounts, proactively communicate with clients to request payment and resolve disputed invoices; reconcile accounts receivable and billing. Prepare and distribute collections and aging reports.

Summary of Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable & Billing Responsible for Accounts Receivable Management to ensure P & L, and Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled Perform weekly billing, and accurately process monthly billing Research and resolve customer account discrepancies and incorrect billing by active interaction with clients and staff. Manage daily Company cash receipts and deposits to ensure accurate and current customer account status Maintain ongoing collections program for all past due customer accounts Provide weekly collections status report to Chief Financial Officer and Sales to include recommendation of further collection status Research and prepare appropriate credit/debit memos and other accounting related transactions to ensure the accuracy of all customer accounts Assist in the preparation for financial and other tax related audits as they relate to Accounts Receivable Assist in month end and year end accounting close Responsible for providing W-9 forms and wire transfer assistance to clients Run backlog report and distribute to Project Coordinators and Manager of Estimating Generates post billing reports, including but not limited to: Sales tax, Invoice Sales History and Cost Billing Reports

Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. College courses in Accounting preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable and Collections experience preferably in a sales environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Proprietary Operating System. Strong attention to detail and highly organized, with ability to multitask. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
